Mario Ganau MD, PhD, FACS is a neurosurgeon and scientist with a wide breadth of knowledge regarding the application of innovation technology in clinical practice. Beside his PhD studies in Nanotechnology and Biomedical Engineering, he deepened his understanding of the business environment with taught courses in Entrepreneurship, Global Leadership and Organizational Strategy at London School of Economics, UK and in Management of Biotech Medtech and Pharma Ventures at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.

Mario has also been Global Clinical Scholar at Harvard Medical School and Visiting Researcher at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington DC. Featured in 2012 as “Working Class Hero” by Wired Magazine Italia, he received the TOYP-Award for medical research 2013 by JCI-Italy, was nominated for the Wired-AUDI Innovation Award 2014, and is the recipient of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2015 in the priority area of Nanotechnology.
