Overview

D-Orbit is an Italian space systems company providing solutions for satellite design, development, launch, commissioning, and decommissioning.

Founded in 2011, D-Orbit currently employs approximately 35 people. The firm is based in Milan (Italy) with subsidiaries in Washington (USA), and Lisbon (Portugal).

D-Orbit aims at disrupting the space industry by redefining how commissioning and decommissioning, the initial and final phase of a space mission, are performed, addressing current short comings and creating value in the process.

D-Orbit has a patented product line of smart, modular systems, based on solid rocket motor systems, proprietary core technologies to protect and maximize satellite value in an increasingly hazardous space environment.

At the moment, the most important products of D-Orbit are: InOrbit Now, D-Orbit Decommissioning Device, D-Raise and Fenix.
